Most of SAMFSN Advisors, board members and volunteers are DOD ( Department of Defense) employees ( Active Duty, Civilans and Veterans). All our volunteers help out in SAMFSN efforts on voluntary basis on a part time basis. We are thankful to each one of them for their commitment to our goals. We need financial and community support to meet expenses for our operating, program and event costs

Dr. Russell S. Lowe, DOD, Currently assigned to the U.S Navy; Veteran; Dr. Lowe has completed 35 years of military service, has been deployed for 3 long tours to middle east since 2001. Dr. Lowe has completed a doctoral dissertation focused on the challenges faced by military veterans, returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, as they transition into civil society. - Naveen is a senior executive with extensive technology and non profit industry expereince. He has supported multiple community activities and is an active CMWRC volunteer. Naveen is also a proud parent of a son who has made a decision to make a career in the U.S Military. Naveen will be supporting SAMFSN in financial managment, fund raising and other key activities

- Ruchir Bakshi is a U.S. Army Combat veteran who deployed on multiple occasions to Afghanistan, Iraq, and various other locations in the Middle-East and elsewhere. Ruchir is a Senior Consultant to the U.S. Government for Instructional Design projects. He has been in the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) field since 2004 and has varied work experience on both unclassified and classified projects in the Department of Defense (DoD). Ruchir has a Master of Arts in Management, with a specialization in Human Resources. He currently resides in the Washington DC metro area.

- Jay Kalathil is an IT manager by profession. Jay is very enthusiastic about YOGA and spiritual practices in daily life. He has learnt the deeper aspects spiritual life and Yoga from many masters. Jay is the founder of Mukthi YOGA Group. For the last 15 years he has been teaching YOGA, Yoga Nidra, Breathing techniques, Meditation, Relaxation Techniques and Pranayam at various centers in the NCR region. Jay conducts offsite YOGA retreats and spiritual camps in India and the USA. Jay is very active in interfaith community activities in the DMV area. In summer of 2019 Jay helped conduct the very first Hindu worship services for the midshipmen at the Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD
